Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Moneta Funded offers Instant Funding, Instant Funding Pro and Phoenix Instant accounts that allow traders to start trading without completing a traditional evaluation. The exact drawdown, payout and consistency rules depend on the selected instant model.
Current third-party tracking places the cheapest Moneta Funded programs at around $25, while the Sprint Challenge officially starts from $30. Because Moneta uses a dynamic Challenge Builder and promotional discounts, the exact purchase price should be checked at checkout.
Standard individual challenge accounts currently go up to $100,000. The Phoenix program can scale an account up to $2 million. This should not be confused with combined allocation figures advertised by some partners.
Most standard Moneta Funded models offer an 88% trader profit share after funding. Some Instant Funding configurations offer either 60% or 88%, while the Sprint Challenge uses a 100% fixed payout structure.
Most standard funded programs use a 14-day payout schedule. Instant Funding Pro allows the first eligible payout on demand and then moves to a 14-day cycle. Sprint is different because successful challenges receive a fixed payout after completion.
News trading is model-dependent. Instant Funding Pro explicitly allows news trading. Standard Instant, 1-Step and 2-Step programs currently prohibit news trading. Sprint also prohibits trading around high-impact news and major market opens.
Yes. The current standard Instant, Instant Pro, Phoenix, 1-Step and 2-Step pages state that overnight holding is allowed. Traders should still check the exact model rules because special products such as Sprint operate under completely different time-based restrictions.
The standard Instant, Phoenix, 1-Step and 2-Step pages indicate that overnight and over-weekend holding is allowed. Instant Pro explicitly confirms overnight holding, while its current product page does not separately state the weekend rule. Traders should obtain written confirmation if weekend holding is critical to their strategy.
No. Moneta Funded prohibits coordinating trades with other users, including copy trading. It also prohibits managing accounts for other people and copying third-party trades without performing personal analysis.
Only EAs or automated trading software developed by the trader are permitted under the current Terms. Third-party EAs and API integrations that were not developed by the trader are prohibited.
No. High-frequency trading is expressly prohibited under Moneta Funded's prohibited trading practices. Latency exploitation and strategies that exploit platform or pricing errors are also prohibited.
No. Grid trading is specifically listed as prohibited conduct. The firm's Terms define this as placing buy and sell orders at predetermined intervals above and below the current market price to create a grid-like structure.
Normal risk management must still comply with the program rules, but hedging between accounts is prohibited. This includes holding opposite buy and sell positions across multiple accounts to artificially reduce risk.
The current Terms prohibit using one account from multiple IP addresses and also prohibit multiple accounts being accessed from the same IP address. Traders should therefore avoid account-sharing or setups that could create suspicious IP overlap.
The current Terms do not provide a simple blanket statement saying “VPNs are prohibited,” but they impose strict IP and account-access rules. Because VPNs can change apparent IP and location, traders should obtain written confirmation from Moneta Funded before using one.
Scalping is generally possible on the standard programs, but HFT, latency exploitation, tick scalping and strategies designed to exploit abnormal spreads or platform errors are prohibited. Sprint is specifically designed for short-duration trading but has its own news and market-open restrictions.
It depends on the model. Standard Instant has a 5% trailing maximum loss, Instant Pro has an 8% trailing maximum loss, Phoenix and 1-Step use a 6% static maximum loss, while 2-Step uses an 8% or 10% static maximum depending on the configuration.
The 1-Step challenge has a 10% profit target. It also requires a 3% daily loss limit, 6% static maximum loss and at least three profitable days with at least 0.5% profit on each required day. There is no overall time limit.
Phase 1 requires a 5% profit target and Phase 2 requires a 10% profit target. Each phase requires at least three profitable days. The standard maximum loss is 8%, while certain add-on configurations can use different drawdown settings.
Moneta Funded markets itself as broker-backed and describes its funded trading infrastructure as connected to Moneta Markets. However, its legal Terms explicitly define the Programs as simulated trading accounts using simulated money and state that users do not execute trades in real financial markets through the Programs. For database purposes, it should therefore be classified as a simulated prop program.
